As a reminder, yesterday, March 25, 2007, CME Foreign Exchange (FX) Futures and Options products, opened at their new time of 3:00 p.m. (Central Time).   This new opening time will be in effect each Sunday going forward.  Additionally, the CME Globex^® pre-market open for FX futures and options has been shortened to 30 minutes (from 45 minutes), resulting in a 2:30 start for the pre-opening session. In conjunction with this time change, the “start of official” message is now generated at 1:30 p.m. CT on Sundays.  Sometime after 1:30 p.m. CT and before the 3:00 p.m. CT start of trading, “Z” (contract specification) messages, “Q” (price limits), and lead month (category code X, type code K) messages will be transmitted.
